April Fucked

"Ma gurl-fren's leff me an ah feel like a bum, Ah loss ma job an when ah wank ah can't cum..." ~ The Vomits

Tack it to my heart... The results are in for the first writing contest I entered, and guess who didn't even make third runner up? The person's first name starts with a T, and the last name rhymes with 'shallows'. Me! I lost! Yaaay!

The contest I entered was for PRISM International literary magazine. The winners are:

"Dead Dad Game" by Laura Boudreau

1st runner-up, "Chiggers" by Patrick Roscoe
2nd runner-up, "Something Fierce" by James Phelan
3rd runner-up, "Mama Dglo's Lullaby" by Devina Bahadoorsingh

I do like the title of the winner, but who knows what any of the stories are about. And of course, ladies and gentlemen, my name and story are not there, so while I'm happy for the winners, you can understand why I'm not too excited for them. I'll get to see if I can put my ego aside and see why they won in the future. You see, while they probably didn't get any further than the cover page of my story before determining it was a loser, I'll at least get a mercy fuck from these guys; a free full year's subscription.

I was feeling all festive tonight, felt like doing up an April fool's gag like my friend from another end The Prince of Darkness, but then I got the news. So now I have to lick my wounds (paper cuts), and figure out what to do from here.
I might work on that story a bit further and send it off to another contest along with the entry I had designated for that one. As a matter of fact, that's exactly what I'll do. Well, I think I'll go smoke a victory cigar. Victory in the Orwellian sense.

See everyone in hell!
