The New Era
It's official, the new era has begun! Barack Hussein Obama is now officially the 44th President of the United States of America! And Bush is finally gone! Bush is finally gone! Bush is finally gone!
But while celebration is definitely in store, the new POTUS has a whole lot of work cut out for him. Two wars, economic disaster, corrupted government agencies, Guantanamo Bay, and a world reputation in tatters.
I think he summed this up well in his historic inaugural address. It spoke much of sacrifice and responsibility rather than being a selfish do-nothing shit. We'll see how much it sinks into people's skulls. He spoke of the big picture, and he spoke of bringing America into the 21st century, and making government competent. He echoed what he's spoke of over the campaign of bridging gaps, and inclusiveness.
I wish you the best, Mr. President.
